The Dayton Wingmasters is a Radio Controlled Aircraft club located in Dayton, Ohio. Our flying field is located at the back of Wegerzyn Garden Center, located at 1301 E. Siebenthaler Avenue in Dayton, Ohio (see map).
We are an Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) chartered club (#499) with records that date back to the end of 1971.
However, we know the club was established before this time as we have documentation of club material purchases dating from mid-1963, and additional documentation that shows our founding sometime even further back to 1959. So, we’re at least 40 years old or over 50 depending on who you ask. In any case, we are a well established flying club in the Dayton area.
We are an open club – Anyone of any skill level is invited to join our organization.
Trainer Nights are every Wednesday night Starting in April – October Weather Permitting.
If you are just starting out, we highly recommend that you work with a club instructor to ensure you have the basics down.
