Joining our club is easy, but first you must complete the requirements for flying at the field. This information can be found here.

Although club membership is not required for flying at our field, we would like to invite you to join for several reasons:

1. On-site Electric Power
New in 2011, we added on-site electric power to both the site shelter (120VAC outlets) and to the the flightline pinbox. The pinbox has been converted to a charging station with 120VAC outlets and a 12VDC power bar with 4mm banana plug jacks. This new feature has really made things nicer at the field but as this cost for managing this service is a club expense, you must be a club member to have access to this service.

2. Club Events and Meetings
We are making a concerted effort improve the content of our meetings and are planning several guest speakers who from time to time will be making presentations relevant to the hobby. We are also working to improve our schedule of club events and fly-ins.

3. Continuation of Facility Services
Although the city of Dayton does mow the majority of the field, they do not service the property within about 50 feet of the runway and also around the shelter and parking areas. Maintenance and mowing of the field surrounds, upkeep of the shelter, the provision of facilities, and now the maintenance of electric service are the sole responsibility of the club. We are a non-profit organization so joining the club not only helps to maintain the facility but to also continually improve it.

Club membership is $15 per year. An application for club membership can be downloaded by clicking on the form at right. Completed forms can be submitted (with proof of current AMA) either:

  • By visiting a monthly club meeting
  • At either RC Hobby Center or The Hobby Shop
