Our Facility: Wingmasters Field is an established, improved field located on approximately 40 acres of City of Dayton owned property. Vehicular access to our facility is controlled with a locked gate. A gravel access road connects the gate to our flight complex.
The runway is approximately 430 feet long and 40 feet wide and is several built up layers of asphalt over a gravel base. The runway was resurfaced in 2008 and is in excellent condition. Taxiways connect from the south to both runway ends and also to points approximately 1/4 of the way from each end.
Six flight stations are located approximately 30 feet south of the runway. These stations are built with impact resistant plastic and are quite durable (this has been verified on several occasions). The actual flying field is approximately 14 acres of open area that is bounded by mature trees.

Our shelter house contains enough room to be able to host picnics and fun-flys. In addition, our summer club meetings are also held here (weather permitting, of course).
Runup tables and park benches are located to the south of the flight stations.

During the 2011 season we have continued to improve our facility with the installation of 110VAC and 12VDC power connections for club members. This service greatly improves our flying experience by not requiring heavy marine batteries or worrying about running down a car battery while recharging flight packs. This project was completed in April 2011, so we can now enjoy the benefits of 110VAC in the shelter as well as 110VAC/12VDC out on the flightline.
Also new for 2011 are visitor benches - making it easier for those who stop by to watch to enjoy the fun of R/C flight.

We are proud of our facility - stop by and visit if you'd like...
